Nowadays huge amounts of interesting documents are available on the Internet; unfortunately they are not always of good quality due to the low resolution (72 dpi) required to speed up the display of websites, when at the same time every scanner can reach 1200 dpi or even more. Anyway, the 3D conversion of old pictures gives us an idea of what could be obtained from better (printed) documents. In addition, the historical interest surely outweighs all the technical considerations.
