Louvre. Paris. As a former royal palace that museum is made of plenty of departments and aisles, the most important of them being 'Denon', 'Sully' and 'Richelieu'. Let's consider 'Richelieu'. Here you have left hand on the ground floor two courtyards ('Puget' and 'Marly') visible from outside and surmounted each by a glass canopy. |

Both courtyards are connected by a corridor hosting plenty of sculptures and low reliefs, like this one by Pierre Vaneau (1653-1694). In the next pictures I am standing in front of the window, thinking of the right way to catch the low relief in spite of the reflections on the glass. | |
