I want first to congratulate all the Russian people for the amazing winter olympics in Sotchi. By the way, I discovered some years ago that Russia's surely greatest poet, Alexander Pushkin (Александр Пушкин) - like the French Alexandre Dumas -, had African ancestors. Being myself from Africa, it could only stimulate my interest in the culture of that great country. Have you ever heard Serguei Rachmaninov's Vespers or Cello sonata, the piano concerti, the operas, sacral music and symphonies by Tchaikovski, Moussorgsky, Borodin, Khatchaturian, Glinka...? If not, then you have missed a lot! You have first to master the language, with a strange spelling for an outsider, and a really weird handwriting. But I must confess that the Arabic alphabet and the Chinese Kanji are not that simple either! Now I manage to read single words and conjugate some verbs: Я Том, я живу в Париже, я мальчик, я люблю оперу и джаз... And now, let's say something to Maria S. in Russian, with the help of my translator: Я надеюсь и уверен, что все пойдет лучше для вас, чем прошлой зимой в Париже, вы ленивы девочка! |

Here we have got some stolen(and manipulated) pictures gathered on the net. Other pictures shot by myself are coming soon. Of course you have got the little red-blue glasses! |
