Every second week-end of September, you have in La Courneuve, near Paris, the well known "Fête de l'Huma" (3 days Huma Festival) with a huge amount of events besides a lot of political meetings organized by the leftist newspaper l'Humanité. Thousands of youngs come here just for the open air concerts, but there are a lot of cultural and touristic stands too. Anyway, it is a very interesting meeting of people coming from all over the world. The 2014 festival provided me the very first occasion to make photographs in 3d in the middle of a big crowd, some people being pretty drunk! For that occasion and envisaging the mob I had brought a small 40 cm high stool, which enabled me not to be disturbed by the head of some big folks.
A big problem in open air concerts is the permanent agitation of the crowd, which is constantly about to throw you to ground. Another problem was the declining luminosity by sunset. The last technical detail is that I could have carried out this portfolio manually, but due to a lack of time I chose to entrust the task to a funny software able to do the job in less than two minutes: it asks you first to download the images and 'hop!', by a single mouse click it automatically creates the corresponding slides and hyperlinks. The only problem is that the pictures have to be compressed, with an obvious loss of resolution. That explains why some pictures are not quite sharp. However, it was especially a first try. For a forthcoming open air festival I'd rather get on stage, but that will be another story!
By the way, the portfolio begins with one of my favourite hip-hop female singers besides Ciara and Alicia Keys: the German-Nigerian Ayo.
