Fortunately, some information that I posted on another page of this site is no longer up-to-date, the managers of Versailles' Castle having recently got the excellent idea of arranging part of the Main Stables in order to let tourists visit it. The result is the installation of a permanent (and free!) and impressive 'Gallery of coaches' with some of the most beautiful royal coaches (having escaped the destruction during the French Revolution of 1789!), including a small car drawn at that time by goats and used by the Dauphin (first male heir of the King). By the way, the atmosphere in the stables is quite dark, nevertheless (not much time left, so far!) none of the pictures has been touched up.
